Kendrick Perkins wasn’t necessarily the most noticeable player on the court, but since hanging up the shoes and picking up the microphone he’s been one of the most noticeable basketball analysts.

The outspoken ESPN employee certainly isn’t afraid to make enemies. Sometimes it can feel like he takes things further than he needs to, but other times he delivers a satisfying rant that leaves basketball fans nodding their approval.

The latest player to find himself in the Perkins crosshairs is Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving. Also very outspoken, Kyrie has faced some heat recently for some veiled comments that many interpreted to be shots at former teammate LeBron James. Kyrie has shared out that this was not the case.

Needless to say, a lot of people aren’t buying it. Stephen A. Smith similarly went off on Kyrie yesterday, but it wasn’t the same kind of roasting that Kendrick Perkins dished out.

Kyrie has yet to respond, but he’s certainly not shy of a verbal battle. Regardless of the end result, we’re sure LeBron vs. Kyrie will have a little extra “UMPH” to it next season.
