Kawhi Leonard grew up in Los Angeles, went to high school in Moreno Valley and Riverside, and attended San Diego State from 2009-2011; so California has always been home for the two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Since the 27-year-old will hit the free agent market next season, there’s a lot of speculation that he’ll return to California and join either the Los Angeles Clippers or the Lakers.

On Thursday, the LA Times reported that a corporate entity that lists Kawhi Leonard as the manager purchased a $13.3 million home in the affluent San Diego County community and you can bet fans started jumping to conclusions.

According to the LA Times, the 13,000-square-foot Tuscan-style estate includes a workout facility with a dry bar, a home theatre, a gourmet kitchen, two offices, a steel-framed wall of glass that looks into a temperature-controlled wine vault in the tasting and bar room, seven bedrooms including a customized master suite with two dressing rooms and a spa-like bath, 10.5 bathrooms, and that’s just inside. Outside you’ll find a multi-section pool with a raised spa, a fire pit, waterfalls and Baja decks, as well as a tennis court and fruit orchards.

Leonard also mentioned earlier this year that his mother still lives in San Antonio, so perhaps he’s just looking for an offseason upgrade in terms of housing. In 36 games this season, Leonard is averaging career-highs in minutes (35.0), points (27.6) and rebounds (7.9) per game.
