Kawhi Leonard is on FIRE right now.
After averaging 27.8 points through five games against Orlando in round one, ‘The Claw’ has taken things to a new level against the 76ers, averaging a ridiculous 38 points, 4 dimes and 9 boards through four contests. Kawhi hardly looked like he broke a sweat after his most recent 39 point performance in Game 4, particularly when he nailed a deep three with the game on the line late in the fourth quarter. But according to the 27-year-old, that’s simply not the case. He made sure to credit the 76ers for putting him to work so far in round 2.
Gotta love playoff Kawhi!
Except for this guy, he definitely doesn’t like playoff Kawhi.
While Kawhi managed to light the lamp again, point-guard Kyle Lowry also stepped up to the plate. After registering just 7-5-5 in game 3, Lowry posted a respectable 14-6-7 in the win, finishing third on the team in points and leading in assists.
With the game now a best 2-of-3, you can count on Kawhi breaking a serious amount of sweat with a trip to the Eastern conference championship on the line. Game 5 will take place on Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena.
