The dust has settled on the Nazem Kadri trade that sent the longtime Leaf to Colorado with Calle Rosen in exchange for Tyson Barrie and Alex Kerfoot.
We found out a long time ago that Kadri would be returning to the number 91 that he donned with the London Knights of the OHL, and that Tyson Barrie will sport number 94, as his previous number, four, already hangs from the rafters in downtown Toronto.
Somehow, though, this tweet shared by the Avalanche solidifies all this, as Kadri’s number 91 jersey is now officially available for purchase at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
Looks pretty clean to us.
Of course, the suspension trolls were out in full force.
But also, a lot of heartbroken Leafs fans that will definitely miss the passionate forward.
We’re looking forward to seeing how each respective piece of this trade unfolds with their new club, and we’re sure both teams will provide us with plenty of entertainment this season.
