You've seen it in every sport - the commissioner steps on stage and the crowd of fans roar with boos. Well, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred is in the hot seat and it's the players that are not impressed.
Over the weekend, Rob Manfred spoke on his decision to not strip the Houston Astros of their World Series title after an investigation into a cheating scandal that found the Astros did in fact use camera's for sign stealing purposes, Manfred defended his stance by chalking up the World Series trophy to nothing more than a piece of metal.
This comparison did not sit well with a lot of people.
Justin Turner had some strong words in response to Rob Manfred,
“So for him to devalue it the way he did yesterday just tells me how out of touch he is with the players in this game. At this point the only thing devaluing that trophy is that it says ‘Commissioner’ on it.”
Baseball fans are just as upset.
