The Atlanta Braves and the Pittsburgh Pirates went head-to-head on Monday evening and it didn’t take long for things to get interesting.
In the bottom of the first inning, Pirates pitcher Joe Musgrove graved Josh Donaldson with a pitch and the Braves’ third baseman so angry about the pitch that he managed to get both benches out onto the field for a shouting match.
We get it that it’s not fun to get hit by a pitch, but Donaldson was barely touched by the ball and still decided to try to settle the whole incident with Musgrove. It ended up turning into a shoving match more than anything else, as there weren’t any punches thrown, but Donaldson did put his strength on display when he shoved Elias Diaz right out of the way with ease.
That was the end of Donaldson, Musgrove and Clint Hurdle’s night as they were all ejected.
