Carey Price came so close, yet so far from capturing his first Stanley Cup, and Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper feels for him.
The two finally linked up during the highly anticipated final handshakes, where Cooper made sure to let the future Hall of Famer know that he aches for him. The two-time Cup winning coach also shared some pretty awesome words with Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, among others.
Can’t help but feel for Carey.
The Stanley Cup ship may have sailed this year but hey, these two could very well be reunited next winter. IF the NHL finds a way to send its athletes to the Olympics, there’s a solid chance Cooper could be leading team Canada and Price could be his goaltender. After witnessing his brilliance this postseason, how could Coop not go with the Habs tendy?!
He’s also just a complete legend.
At 33, Price’s time to win a Cup is running out. Let’ hope he can get one before he hangs’em up.
