Looking to turn over a new leaf once again, Johnny Manziel has decided to make a change to his name.
Speaking with Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show, the now former CFL and AAF quarterback announced that he will now be known as John Manziel.
“I have a little update for you. I actually go by John these days. So, I’m kind of just turning over the page and moving forward a little bit.”
Notice the title of the video and Manziel's first name in the video?
After being released by the Montreal Alouettes, Manziel tried his chances in the now-defunct AAF, leaving him and many other football players across the United States without a job just three weeks after joining the Memphis Express.
John Football doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
