John Tortorella is one of the NHL's most intriguing characters.

His antics have made him one of the most well-known coaches in the league, and interestingly enough, the worse his team is doing, the funnier he is.

Such was the case tonight, when the Blue Jackets were held to a dismal 17 shots on net in a 1-0 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

When asked about the alarming stat, Torts responded with the perfect amount of sarcasm, mixed with a bit of a dig.

The Blue Jackets were limited to 17 shots tonight.

John Tortorella was asked about that output.

Reporter: “Disappointed by the total amount of shots on goal?"

John Tortorella: “Just thrilled with it. Just thrilled with it. That's a great question too.”

The full context of this quote was as sassy as you would expect, and Tortorella expressed his displeasure with the team's play as a whole, and made it clear that he wanted his players to answer for their play.
