John Tavares will get the chance to live out a childhood dream after signing a massive seven-year, $77 million deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday afternoon.
If you’re wondering just how stoked he was about his decision, just take a look at his Twitter account, which was changed almost immediately after he tweeted out his heartfelt letter.
While he hasn’t changed his photo to an image of him Photoshopped in a Leafs jersey just yet, he’s already updated his Twitter bio to “Hockey Player for the Toronto Maple Leafs”, something he’s waited his entire life to say.
It’s only a matter of time before there’s an overflow of Tavares jerseys in Toronto.
