Canadian Joey Votto has had a remarkable MLB career and Wednesday night, believe it or not, the 35-year-old experienced a career-first that seems like it would be one of the most basic things in baseball.
Against the Dodgers, Votto had a routine pop out to the first baseman, but for Votto, popping out to first is anything but routine.
How insane is that. It took Votto almost 7000 plate appearances to pop out to an opposing first baseman. That state alone should put him in the Hall of Fame when he's eligible. Votto also has two other crazy streaks going that we don't expect to end soon. (H/T: Twitter)
