Joel Embiid is never afraid to say what’s on his mind, especially on Twitter.
The Philadelphia 76ers big man is one of the most active athletes on social media and his platform only got bigger once the Sixers selected him third overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. The 2018 NBA All-Star tried to recruit LeBron James to Philadelphia before he returned to Cleveland and now he’s trying it all over again as LeBron prepares to make another massive decision.
On Saturday, King James was spotted getting off a plane in Los Angeles and Embiid was quick to react to all the rumours that LeBron to the Lakers was as good as done.
A lot of people are automatically counting out the Sixers as a possible landing spot after Embiid’s latest tweet as they’re looking at it as a shot at LeBron, basically saying he isn’t on Kobe Bryant or Magic Johnson’s level, but others are looking at it with a glass half full perspective and saying he’s just reminding LeBron he won’t be able to add to his legacy in Los Angeles.
Do you think Embiid was taking a shot at LeBron for wanting to go to the Lakers or was this just a last second pitch from the Sixers’ big man?
