Thornton has played for just two teams during his Hall of Fame career, the Bruins and the Sharks, and now he's taking his talents to Toronto for one season at the league minimum. Between the $700,000 contract and Jumbo Joe signing with the Leafs, the hockey world was shocked to say the least.
This is a good move, despite what many will say. Look at his numbers and hide his age & you'll see he's still serviceable. People think just because he's old he can't contribute. To that I say, is he really that worse than Engvall, Goat or the other 4C we've had? No he's not
