When Shams broke the news that Jimmy Butler has requested a trade, he mentioned that Butler gave Minnesota a list of "one-to-three teams" he'd be open to signing an extension with.
After less than an hour of speculating what three teams were on that list, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the three reported destinations Butler prefers most.
The common theme among those teams is that the Nets, Knicks, and Clippers all have max cap space to sign Butler, as Woj pointed out.
Outside of the Knicks, though, nobody could have guessed that Butler's preferred destinations would be the Nets and Clippers, and once the teams were revealed, the basketball world was a little shocked.
