Jim Nantz has called the PGA Tour on CBS since 1994 and he’s called a lot of massive shots including most of the recent Masters tournaments.
Of course several players have had their leads slip away and Nantz has been there with the call and clearly he was feeling the pressure himself on this day. On his home course, with perfect conditions in his backyard for the green jacket (According to his commentary) and he hits it short and lands right in the bunker.
Home court. Perfect day. Unlimited attempts to try and hit this shot and this is the one he posts? At least land it on the green Nantz, if this shot was for the green jacket you just gave it away. Your commentary would be much different if this was a real competition.
Seriously though, how sweet would that be to have in your backyard, just go out back and practice chipping (And commentating) any time you want.
Probably the only backyard we’re taking over that one is the Marleau’s backyard rink.
