Faceoffs are one of the most important skills to have as a centreman. They begin the play and decide who gets possession, and in late-game situations or even 3-on-3 overtime it is crucial to have a good faceoff.
Maybe don’t put Jesperi Kotkaniemi in there, though. We know he wouldn’t put himself in there!
In an entertainingly self-depracating comment, Kotkaniemi made it very clear how little confidence he has at the faceoff dot.
