Jesperi Kotkaniemi is officially a Cane.
The Habs announced on Saturday that they will not match the one year, $61-million offer sheet that Kotkaniemi signed with the Canes last Saturday.
Also included on the offsheet was a signing bonus. Since the Habs didn’t match it, KK gets a whopping extra $20 in his pocket! During a zoom conference on Sunday morning, Kotkaniemi was asked what he plans on doing with the $20 and his answer was gold.
What a guy!
