Before Opening Day on Thursday, the Toronto Blue Jays have one more series of preseason baseball to play, and they’re taking the action to the Montreal Expos’ former Olympic Stadium.

This is particularly special for Jays manager Charlie Montoyo, who made his MLB debut with the Expos in this very building 26 years to this day.

The #BlueJays’ Montreal series is a special one for Charlie #Montoyo 👀

Montoyo played just four games in his brief MLB career, so he might not get the red carpet treatment or anything from the fans in Montreal, but it’s a neat little twist all the same. The Jays have played a preseason series in Montreal for the last few years now, but this will be the first time Montoyo joins them — he was hired as the Jays manager in October, replacing John Gibbons.

Perhaps one day, we’ll see the MLB return to Montreal proper, but for now, it’s always nice to take in some baseball at the Big O.
