Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley were teammates for four full seasons on the Ottawa Senators between the 2004-05 and 2008-09 seasons. Together – along with Sens legend Daniel Alfredsson – the CASH line was formed. “Captain Alfredsson, Spezza, Heatley” in case you weren’t privy to the acronym.

Together, the line would go on to tear up the league as one of the most lethal threesomes around. Based on a promotion put on at Sens home games in which five Sens goals would result in a free slice of pizza for ticket holders, the CASH line also became known as the Pizza Line.

While Heatley hasn’t played in the NHL since his 6-game stint with the Anaheim Ducks in 2014-15, Spezza – now 38 years old – found another way to be linked to his old teammate.

Both Heatley and Spezza, you see, are presently celebrated members of the storied “Rockstar Zone.” If you’re not sure what the Rockstar Zone is, here is our own Corwin McCallum to explain.

There ya have it, Jason. Congratulations on becoming a rockstar of Dany Heatley proportions.
