They say intimidation is the sincerest form of flattery, but we not really sure if Jamie Benn was offering up a genuine compliment to Joel Eriksson-Ek or not.
On Tuesday night, the Stars captain got mixed up with the Wild youngster during the Stars 6-3 comeback win powered by a three-goal performance by Alex Radulov.
With Halloween a few days away, Benn was straight up spooked Eriksson-Ek by lunging at him, causing him to flinch hard.
It is spooky season, after all.
Benn has struggled to put up points this season, potting just 6 (1 goal, 5 assists) in 14 games, in what seems like a rather scary decline in production for the 30-year-old, who registered a career-low 53 points last season.
The Stars will certainly need their captain to step it up offensively if the Stars want to return to the post-season.
But for now, the power-forward can use his big frame to scare the living hell out of his opponents.
