Jamal Murray is one of the best Canadian basketball players to ever play in the NBA. That must mean he’s also one of the most polite basketball players to ever play in the NBA, right?
No, the stereotype actually ISN’T that strong. Murray seems like a nice enough guy, but on Monday he proved that he’s got a lot of competitive juices flowing within him when he let anger get the best of him a bit.
Playing against the Dallas Mavericks, the Denver Nuggets star point guard was sent tumbling to the ground by Tim Hardaway Jr. Murray apparently decided to dish out revenge on his own terms, as he appeared to deliver a brutal groin shot to Hardaway on his way back up.
Sometimes emotions run high in the NBA, but you never like to see that. Murray was issued a Flagrant 2, and was subsequently ejected from the game. Luckily for the Kitchener native, the Nuggets still managed to defeat the Mavs 117-113.
