The Senior Bowl happens every year and it features some of the best college football players in the United States. The post-season college football all-star game gives top prospects a chance to show NFL coaches and scouts what they’ve got and what they’re capable of before they take part in the NFL Scouting Combine.
One of the six quarterbacks playing in this year’s game is 21-year-old Jalen Hurts. Since the Houston, Texas native spent three seasons at Alabama before transferring to Oklahoma, Hurts is going to represent both the Crimson Tide and the Sooners at the game with a one-of-a-kind helmet.
It’s pretty cool that Hurts will be able to show some love to both of the colleges he attended and played for, and it’s even cooler that there’s a second version of the helmet that’s being auctioned off for charity.
In his three seasons at Alabama, Hurts threw for 5,625 yards,48 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, while in his lone season at Oklahoma he threw for 3,851 yards, 32 touchdowns and 8 interceptions; giving him a college career total of 682 completions for 9,477 yards, 80 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.
