When the Dallas Stars revealed their new blackout jerseys, it quickly ascended up the rankings for the leagueโs most polarizing jerseys.
The eye-popping highlighter green was off-putting to some, while others thought it was a cool spin off of traditional jerseys. For what itโs worth, we think it looks pretty slick out there on the ice.
On Tuesday, goaltender Jake Oettinger doubled-down on the look when he revealed his brand new Blackout pads. Similar to the jerseys, the setup brought some differing opinions.
One of the most consistent opinions wondered why the pads were a slightly different shade of green than the jerseys.
