As the Little League World Series gets close to crowning a champion, the MLB held their Little League Classic. The event takes place every year and is part of the MLB’s effort to get more youth interested in baseball. This year, the game took place between Cleveland and the LA Angels, and there so many memorable moments.

The diagonal stripes are surprisingly a great look and it looked even better on the diamond.
Some players really bought into the Little League atmosphere as well. No one did so more than Jack Mayfield who used a bat like we’ve never seen before. Mayfield brought a crayon to the plate, and in case you were wondering, it was a foul pole yellow.
This gets us wanting custom bat designs more often. We see custom cleats all the time so let’s start getting more creative with the bats, ok?
One other highlight from the Little League Classic was the performance of Canadian pitcher Cal Quantrill. Seven scoreless innings helped Cleveland pick up the 3-0 win over L.A.
Next year, the Little League Classic takes place between the Red Sox and Orioles, and we’re already excited for it.
