Everyone has their own equipment routine. Left piece of equipment before right and elbow pads before chest protector are a few main ones. But things apparently get a bit more difficult when it comes to the pants and if you need any proof of that then look no further than 2019 first overall pick Jack Hughes.
If you look at the photo below, Jack’s brother Quinn appears to have his equipment on in proper order. Look to his right, and you can see Jack putting his jersey on… without his pants on! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD?!?!
We're not sure if this was a one time thing but seriously... what the heck did we all just witness. Jersey before pants is one thing, and skates before pants is another. The BarDown team managed to spark some debate at one of their Winter League games.
Please hockey fans, if you put your jersey on before your pants then let us know. And go watch some YouTube tutorials on how to properly put your gear on while you’re at it.
