Congrats Avalanche fans, your superstar is back!

Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon returned to the ice on Wednesday for the first time in three games due to an upper body injury.

MacKinnon came out of the dressing room flying! His first shot on net came only after 39 seconds into the game. He got 10 shots on goal in the Avalanche 2-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes but came up short with zero goals. Yes, you heard that right, 10 shots! Which is an insane amount for none of them to get into the back of the net.

On the other hand, MacKinnon still managed to keep up his insanely long shots on goal streak. It’s been 240 games played since he didn’t get a shot on net. What’s even crazier is that he’s leading that race by a landslide! Vegas Golden Knights defenceman Alex Pietrangelo is in second with a streak of 89 games.

Don’t worry Avs fans, we’re sure he’ll break through sooner than later.

Welcome back, MacKinnon!
