The NHL introduced the Winter Classic in 2008 with a game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres at Ralph Wilson Stadium (now known as New Era Field) and it’s become an annual tradition ever since.
This year’s edition of the Winter Classic will take place between the Dallas Stars and the Nashville Predators at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Last month the Stars revealed the logo they will be rocking for the outdoor game that will take place on New Year’s Day, and now we might have a better idea of the logo the Predators will be rocking that same day.
We already know that the hat on the left featuring the saber-toothed tiger’s head will be the Preds’ shoulder patch for the game, as the team officially revealed it late last month, but it’s looking like the logo with the word ‘Nashville’ written on the body might just be their primary logo.
The team hasn’t officially revealed their primary logo for the Winter Classic just yet, but we’re kind of hoping this is it.
