The New York Islanders advanced over the Boston Bruins tonight and many rejoiced with happiness seeing the B’s knocked out of playoff contention.
Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy was particularly upset about the lack of penalties being called against the Islanders calling them the New York Saints in a press conference a couple of days ago.
This in reference to the New Orleans Saints who didn’t get a penalty call in their game against the Rams. This lit a fire in the Islanders fan base with fans even chanting the new team name during the game.
Even the New Orleans Saints Twitter account congratulated them on the victory.
The fan reaction was also priceless.
