Joel Embiid isn't afraid of no social media controversy, just go ask Karl-Anthony Towns.

His latest conversation involves a former T-Wolf, and ex-teammate, too. Last season, Minnesota traded Butler to the 76ers for their post-season run before they were eliminated by the Toronto Raptors.

Just how close were the two? Could a reunion of the two stars be something to watch for down the line?

Things haven't gone so smoothly for the 76ers recently. The team looks vastly different away from Philly, and depending on where they finish in the Eastern Conference, that could make for an early playoff exit come the spring.

Frustrations from Embiid were evident on Sunday, as the big man shushed the hostile crowd late in the 4th quarter after draining a three-ball.

Post-game, Embiid said it was time to be an "a-hole again." He posted on his Instagram the photo of the shush, with a caption from the Harvey Dent in the "The Dark Knight."

And who came into the comments? Jimmy Butler, perhaps trying to recruit Embiid down to Miami?

Are you ready for Embiid to be a villain?

"I know a place where villains are welcome."

Jimmy Butler certainly is, and for the sake of Philly fans, hopefully, it's not in Miami.

Welcome to tampering life in 2020, where a cryptic Instagram post can lead to speculation in fantasyland.
