Minor League Baseball teams are the best when it comes to promotional giveaway nights and they’re also the best when it comes to naming the franchises, whether it’s a temporary name or a permanent one.
From the Rumble Ponies to the Sky Sox to the Biscuits, there are a lot of very unusual names in the Minor League Baseball system and now there’s a new one we can add to that list in the next couple of years.
The Mobile BayBears are the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels but next year happens to be their final season in Mobile, Alabama, as they’ll be relocating to Madison, Alabama, the following season. With the move comes a rebrand and the franchise left that entirely up to the fans. With that being said, we’d like to introduce you to the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
