The Indiana Hoosiers edged the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday 63-62 in a thrilling comeback victory on Senior Night at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana. While the victory was an exciting one, lone senior Collin Hart will surely remember the game for other reasons.
The senior forward had the task of giving a speech post-game, and after ten minutes of speaking, began directing the talk towards his girlfriend, an Indiana cheerleader. The speech ended in a marriage proposal, and it's likely the most heartwarming thing you'll see all day.
Giving senior year speeches can be a tall task in general, thanking family, friends, teammates and coaches, but knowing you'll be proposing at the end of it all must have made Hartman's speech all the more nerve-wracking. Lots of a respect to this young man for the way he handed things, and congratulations to the newly engaged couple.
