Listen, it was only a matter of time, right? Ever since Ilya Mikheyev turned liking soup into a defining trait of his character and won Leafs fans over, we figured it was basically a lock that he would get the bag from Big Soup sooner or later.
Now look: Campbell’s Canada has appointed Mikheyev as their Chief Soup Officer. Whatever that means... we like it!
These two parties were circling the drain for a little while there, but it looks like they finally were finally able to connect on something.
Hopefully, this means more care packages sent to the Leafs locker room. In a vacuum, we love the idea of big bags of soup, just waiting for Mikheyev in the locker room.
