This March Madness has really lived up to its name. There have been massive upsets, including two number one seeds, tournament contenders North Carolina and Michigan State, not to mention the absolute destruction of the South Division.
Emerging from the rubble of that South Division is the Cinderella story of Loyola Chicago. The 11-seed Ramblers have beat (6) Miami, (3) Tennessee, and now (7) Nevada on their unlikely trip to the Elite Eight. While their story is amazing on its own, it is made even better by everyones favourite nun – Sister Jean.
Ahead of each of the games, Sister Jean leads the team in a pre-game prayer. The Sweet 16 prayer did not disappoint.
No matter what happens to the Ramblers for the rest of the tournament, one of the storylines of 2018’s NCAA tournament will certainly be the sweet old lady seemingly willing the team to the next step. Here’s what she had to say after Loyola Chicago punched their ticket to the Elite Eight.
The amazing story of Sister Jean and the Ramblers continues as March Madness approaches its conclusion.
