So we think it’s safe to say Ichiro Suzuki hasn’t lost his spark.

Retiring back in 2019 with the Seattle Mariners, Ichiro has since taken on the role of special assistant to the chairman, which he serves as a full-time instructor within the Mariners organization.

But when Ichiro decided to not only taking some bats but play in a simulation game Sunday during Spring Training, he may have left a lot of baseball fans right in their feels with this sense of nostalgia.

Is it 2001 again? We even have former Mariners OF Mike Cameron playing, needless to say, we just need some of Nelly’s “Ride wit Me” to play and we’ve got ourselves a trip to the early 2000s.

Not to be dramatic, but Ichiro’s stance is one of the most beautiful sights to the human eye. How can you not be romantic about baseball after seeing it?

Just one more time for Ichiro’s swing...he’s still got it!
