It’s a tough time for everyone in the world right now as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to force itself into our lives, but it’s particularly tough for some more than others. For example, kids stuck in children’s hospitals with much heavier restrictions on who can visit and for how long.

That’s why we’re seeing Canadian celebrities and athletes rally to support kids in Toronto’s SickKids hospital. Earlier in this age of quarantine, we saw Toronto Maple Leafs centre Auston Matthews make a couple stops in the virtual hotseat, once accompanied by A-List actor Ryan Reynolds too. On Wednesday, the kids were treated to a few more well known names around hockey.

Leafs players Zach Hyman and Mitch Marner each took turns answering questions from the curious youngsters, with Women’s hockey legend Hayley Wickenheiser mixed in there as well.

While the kids would likely rather meet their hockey heroes in real life rather than through a screen, it’s pretty cool to hear their enthusiastic questions come through for the stars.
