Bryce Harper is celebrating Christmas the right way. While he’s more known for his baseball pedigree, his presents would certainly do right by any hockey fan.
In a post to his Instagram Story, Harper showed off some of his new gear, and it’s a pretty faithful reenactment of The Mighty Ducks character Charlie Conway.
Just missing a bit of powder there! But, any time an athlete from another sport shows their love for hockey, it’s always neat to see the streams cross. Especially when the man who reportedly rejected a $300 million contract from the Nationals for his baseball skills is referring to himself as a “huge hockey guy.” Maybe the Caps should enter the bidding?
Harper’s free agency has been a major storyline in baseball this offseason, and while he remains unsigned, fans speculated from an earlier post on Instagram at the end of the regular season that the slugger plans depart.
