“I guess that’s what I’m saying Brooksie.”

If you’re a big hockey fan are in tune with media members like Larry Brooks out of New York, then you’ll know exactly what we’re getting about. Torts and Brooks went at it on several occasions over the years, with the most notable ones involving the quote above and Torts then questioning if Brooks was “ever beat up as a kid.”

Back in when Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella was the bench boss of the New York Rangers, Torts refused to answer a question from Brooks during his post-game scrum after a 2-0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.

That led to an exchange of words between the two, resulting in Torts essentially questioning Brooks’ work on a “sarcastic” column regarding Wade Redden. If you don’t remember their encounters from over the years, here’s a refresher.

Being the jokester that he is, TSN’s James Duthie is enjoying messing around with his wife, whose maiden name is Brooks.

Poor Mrs. Duthie. Duthie trolls her all day long and she has no idea why he refers to her as “Brooksie.”

Someone help Mrs. Duthie out and educate tell her about ‘ole Brooksie.
