The NHL's derpartment of safety was busy on Sunday, announcing they've suspended Blues defenceman Robert Bortuzzo for four games.

On Saturday night, Bortuzzo landed a gnarly crosscheck on Predators forward Viktor Arvidsson's back. Arvidsson, who stands seven inches shorter and about 30-pounds less than Bortuzzo, was launched in the Blues' net behind Jordan Binnington. As Arvidsson tried to escape, Bortuzzo cross-checked him again.

The Preds announced on Sunday that Arvidsson will miss the next 4-6 weeks because of the hacks from Bortuzzo.

Considering that Arvidsson will miss more time that Bortuzzo, hockey fans took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the NHL's ruling.

Bortuzzo is considerred a repeat offender. Back in September of 2018, he missed two pre-season games and one regular season game for elbowing Michal Kempny in the head. Flashback to 2014, Bortuzzo was nabbed for two games after a suspect hit that caught Jaromir Jagr up high.

Bortuzzo earns $1.375 million a season, meaning he will forfeit $67,073.16 in salary because of his actions. The two teams, without either player, will face off in a rematch on Monday night in Nashville.
