It was almost like something out of a movie as the Vancouver Canucks hit the ice in front of a sold out crowd at Rogers Arena on Thursday night in what was the team’s final home game of the season and the Sedin twins’ final game in Vancouver.

Although the Canucks went down early in the game, they got right back on the board 33 seconds into the second period as Daniel Sedin buried his 22nd goal of the season, with an assist going to Henrik Sedin. However, it wasn’t until overtime when the real magic happened when Henrik set up Daniel for one final game-winning goal on home ice, giving the Sedin twins’ time in Vancouver the perfect storybook ending.

Following their final game in Vancouver, the twins received one of the most incredible standing ovations we’ve ever seen and even the referees stuck around to congratulate them on their incredible careers.

They’re two of the greatest players to ever suit up for the Vancouver Canucks and they will be adored throughout Vancouver for many years to come.
