On Monday, Scott Hartnell called it a career after 17 seasons in the NHL.

The hockey world congratulated Hartnell on an incredible career once he made his retirement official on social media, but we also noticed a very unique reaction from some fans involving Hartnell and the Flyers' new mascot Gritty.

Question for you hockey fans, have you ever seen Gritty and Hartnell in the same room before?  You haven't?  Interesting.  Very interesting indeed.
It's a fun theory that obviously isn't true, but we'd like to believe it is because we're going to miss seeing Hartnell's incredible flow on the ice this season.
