Didn’t last night’s Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Columbus Blue Jackets Game 4 feel EXACTLY like a typical Leafs game? With one small difference… They won it.
A franchise that has become callused by their tendency to blow leads a clutch times finally got a taste of the flip side on Friday evening when they somehow scored three goals with the extra attacker in the final 3:34 of the game to tie it. When overtime rolled around, Auston Matthews deposited the winner to complete the most unlikely of comebacks.
How unlikely? Well, Money Puck actually went to the trouble of calculating it as it was happening. At one point, the chances were as low as 0.2%.
In other words, pick a number between 1 and 500, and then have a friend also pick a number on the same scale. If those two numbers are the same, congrats… you just beat the Jackets!
