We’ve been suspicious New York Yankees rookie right fielder Aaron Judge isn’t human for a while now, and at the 2017 Home Run Derby it became confirmed. Judge is not human. We don’t know if we’ve ever seen a crop of sluggers look more pedestrian at a Derby than the batters who came up after Judge.
The Yankees’ rookie has been smashing long balls effortlessly all season, and the Home Run Derby simply elevated his profile even more so across the league.
Standing at 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, Judge is the largest position player in MLB history. So it should be no surprise he was heavily recruited to play football and basketball at the college level. In fact, there’s even better reason he was heavily recruit to play those two sports at the next level than just his size, and it’s because he was a star athlete in those sports as well.
Check out his high school highlights below:
In the end, we think he definitely made the right decision to stick with baseball. Baseball was the sport he played growing up, and the sport he loved most, so he definitely has zero regrets. But it’s interesting to wonder what the slugger would look like lined up at tight end for the Dallas Cowboys. Or how Judge would fit in as a centre on the Toronto Raptors.
