The future of the New York Rangers is incredible intriguing, specifically between the pipes. Henrik Lundqvist is 37-years-old and set to play the fewest games in a season since the 2014/15 campaign.
Behind him is 23-year-old Alexander Georgiev who has looked the part of a future starter in the NHL and despite playing in less games, he only has 5 fewer wins than Henrik. Furthermore, Lundqvist is likely to experience a career-first that he probably never wanted to experience.
Wednesday night, Lundqvist and the Rangers fell 4-1 to the Senators on home ice and with two games to go, it looks like Henrik will only be able to get to 19 wins on the season (he's never had under 20 wins in a season in his career).
Lundqvist hasn't won a game since March 9th against the Devils and it would be nice to see him snap that winless streak of 6 games before the season is over.
Nobody knows what the future holds for the Rangers, but some tough decisions could be on the horizon, along with a massive change in leadership.
