The Summer of Ovi is upon us, and it is more entertaining than the summer of just about anyone (sorry, George Costanza). The Russian sniper has captivated us all with a plethora of fantastically entertaining videos since the historic Washington Capitals Stanley Cup victory.
One of the main themes of those videos, Alex Ovechkin’s love affair with Lord Stanley.
The two seemed to be basically inseperable, with many wondering whether Ovi’s teammates were even getting a turn with hockey’s most prized possession. Well, now it’s their turn, but that doesn’t mean that Ovi isn’t still enjoying his best summer ever.
With a baby on the way very, very soon, the legendary Capitals captain looks as stress free as ever. Here’s a little checklist:
Alongside his social media maven wife Nastya: Check
Hanging out in a beautiful apartment: Check
Gaming some Fortnite: Check (this took some investigating, and some acute listening)
Shirtless: Why not?
This guy has an aura about him these days, and it seems as though nothing will ever get in the way of that.
Now wait a minute, we realize that there is a lot packed into this clip that doesn’t even reach 10 seconds.
Is his controller on? Many are pointing out that the centre light is not on, indicating that he is not actually playing a game. That would be kind of a weird trick, wouldn’t it?
As others have pointed out, the particular controller he’s using is likely to be deceptive in the way that the sun is masking the light. Seriously, what would be the point of faking it?
Next up, how do we know it’s Fortnite? Well, it sounds like it. In fact, it sounds as though either Ovi or one of his squad members just got knocked. How’s that for some investigative skills?
