Monday night was a big one for the hockey community as the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2019 was officially inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, joining hundreds of other legends who had their name called before them.

The final speech of the night was saved for Hayley Wickenheiser, who became just the 7th women to be inducted into the Hall as a player. From shouting out her parents and her former coaches and teammates, to the stories she shared from her younger days, it was certainly a speech that should be heard by all.

Wickenheiser is one of the greatest players to ever play the game and now she has a spot in the Hall of Fame forever, but she made sure to show some love to the people who continue to believe in her and to all the women who paved the way for her and continue to pave the way before wrapping up.

Inspiring the next generation is truly what it's all about.
