Gymnastics are developing at a wicked pace. Every time you think the human body has maxed out in capability, a gymnast proves you wrong. Way wrong.
That’s just what happened on Sunday when a gymnast in Leeds, Ashley Watson, set a Guinness World Record. The record was for distance travelled in a parallel bar backflip, and it looks even more ridiculous than it sounds.
It’s one of those videos where you know that if he was unable to grab the bar while travelling at that ridiculous speed, it may have ended very badly.
Hopefully it didn’t take too many tries to pull this off.
