The Vancouver Grizzlies are making a return next season…sort of.
On Thursday afternoon, the Memphis Grizzlies dropped a bomb on the basketball world as they announced that in honour of their 25th anniversary they’ll be wearing throwback Vancouver Grizzlies uniforms for different games throughout the season.
Vancouver was the home of the Grizzlies from 1995-2001 before the franchise relocated to Memphis. During their final season in BC and their first few seasons in Tennessee, the Grizz rocked black road uniforms, which they’ll also wear at some point this season.
The Grizzlies haven’t announced which games they’ll wear the throwback uniforms for just yet – hopefully one will be when the Toronto Raptors pay their lone visit – and they’ll also have a throwback court to match.
We’re guessing these jerseys are going to fly off the shelves next season.
