Gritty hit the Habs with a super random chirp just hours before an elimination game

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Gritty’s first few years in the league, it’s that nobody… absolutely nobody… is safe.

The giant orange mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers has become known for his absolute savagery. He’ll take shots at anyone and everyone in very creative ways, and on Wednesday he took his latest stab at the Montreal Canadiens.

Just hours before puck drop in a game where the Flyers could send the Habs packing, Gritty took to Twitter to take a very… confusing shot at Montreal. Entering the frame wearing a Canadian Tuxedo, he claims that he’s done more for the Canadian tuxedo than the Habs ever have.

We get that the Habs are from Canada, and the Flyers are not. But does this not seem extremely random?

Gritty is a different breed. In fact, we don’t even know what the heck he is.
