Gritty is one of a kind. Literally. There is nothing on this Earth even remotely similar to the Philadelphia Flyers beloved orange mascot.
Gritty is still young compared to other mascots, only spawning from the underworld a few years ago, but he’s certainly left a lasting impression based on his antics and entertainment.
On Wednesday, Gritty had to make the difficult choice between a star for the top of the Christmas tree, and an angel. He decided in the only way he knew how; selfishly.
We take that back. Can it really be considered selfish when we take so much joy in it?
It’s not the first appearance of Gritty Claus. Earlier in the year, the mascot got up to some pretty wholesome activities in celebration of the holiday season.
