Wayne Gretzky is the great one for a reason, he has many records that are sure to never be broken and his number is retired all around the NHL. Who else can say that?

Among many of his records and highlights, let us take a look at those involving the number 6o and his birthday to commemorate "The Great One" turning 60 years old.

Gretzky scored 60 hat tricks during his NHL career, holding League records for both the regular season (50) and playoffs (10). Gretzky is also the only player to have 2 individual seasons with 10 hat tricks. The player that is currently active in the NHL with the most career hat tricks is Alex Ovechkin with 24.

Gretzky had 10 goals and 14 assists in 10 career games on his birthday, his highest goal total on any calendar date in January. That includes hat tricks in 1985 (age 24) and 1991 (age 30). The guy just loves to score on his birthday.

Gretzky once recorded a point in 60 consecutive regular-season games from March 13, 1983 to Jan. 27, 1984 (one day after his 23rd birthday), during which he posted 70 goals and 111 assists for 181 points. WOWZA. That run began with a nine-game point streak to end the 1982-83 campaign and culminated with a 51-game stretch to start the 1983-84 season in which he had 153 points, the latter stands as the longest official point streak in NHL history.

Gretzky holds League benchmarks for fewest games to 60 goals in a season (49 GP in 1981-82), 60 assists in a season (32 GP in 1985-86) and 60 assists in a career (56 GP).

Here are some other record Gretzky broke in his career which are seemingly untouchable.

Here’s to 60 Wayne!
